Hi,
Each month I create a report that has Excel 2007 graphs in it. For now I
have been pasting graphs each month into powerpoint 2007 but I want to link
them instead. I have figured out how to do this. However, I then send this
ppt file out to about 20 people and I don't want them to get messages about
linking to excel. I want to create a "read-only" copy of my report without
the linking but save a master file for myself that contains the links. Can
someone help?

Thanks,

You should be able to break the links on the public copy (after you have
saved the master!)

Office Button > Prepare > scroll down to Edit links

Select all (shift click) and break links

John,
Thanks for your help. I did a Save As from my Master powerpoint file that
has several links to Excel and called It Report Oct 09. When I open this
file, I get a message asking if I want to Update the Links or Cancel. I want
to remove this option. How do I break the links?

Thanks, Chuck
