Hi all!

I have a problem with a project under VS 2005.
I downloaded 2 projects, one is a MFC .lib project and another one is
an .exe that uses this lib file. I need to edit those projects, but
first of all i tried to compile them.
Here comes the problem:
The lib proect compiles fine, but the other one says while linking:
unresolved externals! And I can't get it to work:
I tried to copy the .h and .lib files, add the paths to the project,
averything I could think of, but nothing!

Anyone can help me please? I'm going mad!

Thank you

Paolo

those unresolved externals, should they be imported from the lib file, or
are they different symbols?

if the symbols are from the lib file, then you need to add the library name
as a dependency in your project properties
Config properties -> linker -> input -> additional dependencies.

the library path should be added to
Config properties -> linker -> general -> additional library directories

that is the standard way of adding libraries to your project.
if those symbols are not in that library, what is the linker error message?
which externals could not be found?

kind regards,
Bruno.

The external symbols are needed by the lib file, which links another
lib file. I have this lib file too, and i added it to the project as
you said before, but it didn't work...
