Hi there,

For a uni assignment:

I have a set of four action buttons for playing 4 distinct sounds.
There are also 4 pictures on the slide that represent the 4 sounds.
Scenario; Student clicks on sound, then on picture that they think
represents the sound. If it is correct, it draws a line between the
objects, or both objects dissapear (whatever is easiest). If it is
incorrect, the 'bomb' sound is made.....

How do I make this happen?

I have made other slides, this is just one slide of a kids game.

If you use PowerPoint 2002 or higher, you could use trigger animations. If
the student clicks on the sound, a duplicate of the correct picture appears
(you have to place it very exact, so that the students don't notice it
appears). This duplicate has a trigger for the line (or whatever), the
incorrect pictures trigger the "bomb" sound.

Is this feasible for you?
Kind regards,
Ute

I ended up created the 1st slide as a master, then creating 4
duplicate slides. If the first sound button was clicked, it will take
you to the 1st duplicated slide. This slide then has actions set for
all the pictures. The incorrect images play the bomb sound. The
correct picture plays the applause sound and hyperlinks back to the
master slide. And so on for the other 3 sounds/images.

I also wanted the student to hear the sound again if they needed. So
on the duplicate slide I disabled the other sound buttons. That way
the student could only click the correct sound that corresponds with
the correct image for that slide. To make it easier, I added a shade
of grey to the other disabled sound buttons to help make the
connection that they were disabled, just not working......

It seems to have accomplished what I wanted, so thanks for the
suggestions.
