linking between presentations/custom shows

Hi,
I am using PPTXP with windows 2000.
I have several very large presentations (with custom shows) and would like
to get back to my 'table of contents' presentation (one slide) with just one
click. I know setting the Action to 'end show' will only get me out of the
custom show. Is there a way (with one click) to quit the custom show AND the
presentation that contains it?

Thanks for your help

Martha,

If you follow this tutorial.... regarding linking presentations together,
then one "click" of the 'esc' key will always return to the 'master'
slideshow.

or follow the 'menu' tutorial - for two other methods of linking and
returning to the index screen.

I had already looked at your (excellent) tutorials and they don't fit what I
have to do, at least to my frustrated eyes. The presentations I am working on
will be on the web/and or with computers with no keyboards and used by
students who just have a mouse with a scroll wheel.

The Method Two comes closest to what I need, but some of the links HAVE to
be separate presentations so I can have them run continuously until they
click to get out. (they are simulating how a radiologist would view a CT and
a quick fingered scroll wheel can have them jumping way ahead in the main
presentation if the presentation that is linked is NOT set to loop). That
produces too many presentations going on at once and PPT freaks out. Others
are custom shows in presentations. I would like them to have the ability to
quit from inside the custom show that is inside a 'presentation that was
linked to' with ONE click.

I may be asking more than can be done. It's a good thing I am going to PPT
Live and can ask questions in person!

Thanks
