In Powerpoint 2002, I'm trying to make an action button refer to a directory of folders on the same CD. I've already attempted "hyperlinking" to "/Files" but that doesn't seem to work. Anyone know the easiest way for me to accomplish this?

Try hyperlinking to "..\Files" (without the quotes), assuming that \Files is
at the same level as the folder that the presentation is in. If \Files is
at a level below the folder that the presentation is in, then hyperlink to
"Files", with no back slash. However, don't try to use an Action Button or
Action Settings > Hyperlink. Instead, create your own button and then use
Insert > Hyperlink so that you can type in the link.

In PP 2002 this hyperlink worked.

C:\Documents and Settings\

It puts you in the Documents and Setings directory.

What do you want the action button to do?

If you need it to open a folder, try using a hyperlink instead of an action
setting. Draw a rectangle, choose Insert, Hyperlink and type it thus:

/Files

or try

/Files/
