You do not need to use drive letters at all. Use the full UNC of the
location where the back-end database is located. To do this when linking a
new, previously unlinked table, click File|Get External Data|Link; if the
table is already linked, use Linked Table Manager. Then instead of
selecting the mapped drive, go to Network Neighborhood or My Network Places
and select the Server and drill down to the folder in which the database is
located.

for assigns drive letters differently for the same folder. For instance on
my machine Back-end Database "A" might be on the K drive. While the user has
it assigned to the G drive. Is there any other way to link a front end to a
back end other than using the drive letters. Thanks in advance.
