PROBLEM: EXCELL 2000Master workbook linked to 5 different use
workbooks.
User Workbooks udate master and visa versa.
User workbooks are password protected. When I open my master w/b I a
prompted to enter the passwords for the linked User workbooks before
can update/edit etc.
How do I stop this.
I want to password protect my master but then the users have to ente
my password into thiers to recieve updates.
User workbooks have passwords to lock out access to certain cell
containing formulas etc. HEL

Your last sentence says "User workbooks have passwords to lock out access to
certain cells containing formulas etc". Is this really why you password
protected them? If yes, then remove the password to open the file, and
1.Unlock the cells for data entry (not those with the formuale),
2.Protect the sheet using a password

This will allow other workbooks to read from them without asking for a
password, while your formulae are still protected.

Alternatively: you could password protect your files to modify only, not to
open (so they are available to be seen but not saved to).
