Linked Tables

I have a batch file that runs a report through Monarch and dumps the data
into a "holding database". I then link to those tables. If the front end
database is opened, tables are linked and I run the batch file, will the new
data automatically be seen in the front end database?

Yes
That assumes the batch has completed before you open the front end.
