Linked Tables - read only??

Is there a way I can link my tables and NOT let users
update them? I am merging several databases into one user
interface. To do that I need links but I don't want users
to change the data.

I just send the data to a form and have the form as read
only. Then I hide the table.

Instead of linking the tables, inport them on a regular basis. Then, who
cares if they change them as it will not be reflected in your Main tables.

The other alternative is to always have the user view data with a form and
lock each text box on the form.
