linked tables 2007 <--> 95

I currently have a front end db created in Access 2000 that has linked
tables which exist in Access 95 databases. If I update the A2000
front end to A2007, will I have any problem with those linked tables
still being in A95 dbs?

There shouldn't be, but on the other hand, is there any real reason to leave
them in the Access 95 format?
 
I'm not an Access developer, but I've inherited this project. Other
people warned me to expect lots of problems and headaches when
upgrading any database from 95 to 2007. Is that not true?

Not really.

Access 95 was one of the worst versions of Access ever released, so almost
anything would be better. <g>

While it is talking about converting from Access 97, what Allen Browne has
at http://www.allenbrowne.com/ser-48.html applies somewhat to converting
from Access 95 to Access 2000/2002/2003, then
http://www.allenbrowne.com/Access2007.html talks about converting to Access
2007.

Besides, it's a world of diference converting a database application (i.e.
forms, reports, macros and modules) as compared to converting the data
tables.

2007 has a very different user interface from A95, and takes quite a bit of
getting used to (which may require some aspririn), but the databases do work.
Especially if it's just tables, I'd upgrade.
