Does anyone know if it's possible to link MSAccess 2000
tables on a read-only basis.
Thanks

If you use MS Access security, you can set appropriate permissions (read data) on the linked table either in the source database or in the database where the link resides

Another idea might be to set security on the directory where the source table\database resides such that the users only have read access - therfore they would have read-only access to any table in the .mdb file to which you link.

Thanks Scott,
This would be a good idea, but for several reasons
I prefer not to use the group or user security. I would
prefer a read-only for the linked tables.
Any ideas??
Thanks for your help
