Linked Table Manager Not Showing Up

I am using Access 2003 and have a database that has linked tables, that are
linked to a shared server. I've copied the db(s) to my hard drive and want to
re-link the tables there. Everytime, I select Tools/Database Utilities/Linked
Table Manager, nothing happens. No pop window for the manager, no error
message, nothing. I've tried to reinstall the software. I've created a new
db, with no data, just to see if it will pop up in the menu, but it doesn't.
I don't know why this option is not showing. Does anyone know what might be
the issue?

ok. I know neither of the following address the exact problem you describe
("..no error message.."), but I think they address the most likely
solutions.

The first is to make sure that you have the latest Jet 4.0 Service pack
installed. If you don't have at least SP8 Access 2003 wizards can be buggy.

The second will walk you through a manually re-register of the wizard.

You may receive "This feature isn't installed, or has been disabled" error
message when you use wizards in Access 2003

BUG: List of currently linked tables may not appear in Linked Table Manager
Wizard in a database in Access 2003

I've had this happen to me.
This 'feature' is not installed by default.
You neeed to Have Access reinstalled specifiying a FULL install.
Have them check EVERY optional component.

Thanks for the replies. That is what I ended it having to do. Instead of
doing a full reinstall, I actually did a detect and repair and it worked. I
guess there must have been a file missing or had gotten corrupted. But
everything works now. Thanks for all of the suggestions.
