Linked PP upon return to main show, does not replay link?

PP2003. From the main presentation, the object on a slide is linked to
another presentation. In presentation mode entering the slide and pressing
enter/down-arrow makes the subordinate presentation run (executes the
object). However, once the subordinate presentation has completed, and the
focus is back on the slide from whcih it executed in the presentation ... if
I want to repeat this action I cannot just type that slide number, press
enter/down-arrow to run the object again. For example, if the slide that has
the linked object on it is slide 7, the first time through (only) if after
entering presentation mode, I press 7, and enter, the object will show the
subordinate show, and return to slide 7 (of main presentation) when it has
completed. If I want to show that presentation again, I would think that I
could type 7, and press enter ... however, it I do so, this time is goes to
slide 8 and SKIPS the object and the show I wanted to reply. I have noticed
that if after playing the subordinate show one, I can go to (in this case)
slide 7 (type 7, and press enter), and then if I press the up-arrow key, and
then enter/down-arrow it will play the subordinate show again. This in
consistancy is annoying to me. Is there some sort of "Refresh" I can do that
sets that slide, or all the slides back to as if I had not displayed them?

Try inserting a blank slide at 6 give it an auto transition of 0 sec and then
press 6 enter instead. See if that resets it.
 
Thank you John for your suggestion, and yes, that does work. However, I would
like not to have to add the extra slides (it is a large presentation, and
doubling the number of slides would be cumbersome). Is there any other way to
do this? Thanks
