When you add a picture control to a form and set it to linked rather than
embedded, Access stores the path name and loads the file. I am doing this on
each record of my database and using the OnChange event to set the picture
property to the path of the file I want.
Annoyingly, Access displays a message saying it is importing the file in a
dialog box with a cancel button on. This flashes up fairly quickly and then
disappears but it is very annoying.
Does anyone know a way of stopping the message other than changing to
embedded which I don't want to do because of the file sizes
