We have a linked file for the heading of several documents. The file is our
logo & several lines of text. The problem is the documents we would like
that logo in have varying margins & size of paper. So the heading is not
centered & sometimes the text is broken to the next line. Anyone got any
suggestions? TIA

I tried text boxes to keep the text from spilling to the next line but cant
figure out how to get the lines around the box to disappear. Picture of our
logo seems to hold its position. Also 2 lines of text that are centered lose
that centering format. HELP

Hi Ted,

for text boxes, select the box, then use the "Lines" button in the Drawing
toolbar.

Hi Ted,
Can one tie a left tab to the left margin & a right tab to the right margin?
you should really post a different question as a new message...

I don't understand what you're asking? Do you mean, can you get a tab stop to
move if the margin is changed? All tab stop positions are measured from the
LEFT margin, and there's no way to change this.

For some cases, a two-column table, with left / right alignment might do what
you need. From Word 2000 on, you can set tables to "fill" the page width
between the margins.
