is it possible to easily transition from mail to calendar or contacts (or any
combination of these 3)? after reading mail, i often need to either book an
appt or update something in the contact fields for the specific contact who
sent the mail. likewise, when i'm in an appt that is linked to a contact,
how can i move right to the contact itself.

If an appointment is linked to a contact through the Contacts box at the
bottom, double-click the underlined link.

In a message, right-click the underlined recipient name/address and choose
Look up Contact.

sorry for not being more specific. i'm trying to do all this within BCM.

i'm not able to get the links from appts to BCM contacts -- even when i Add
the appt from the BCM contact page. i can get the contact to link after
selecting the Contact button from the bottom of the Appt page, then selecting
the BCM Contacts, then scrolling down to the specific contact. this is WAY
WAY to much effort to link something that should be linked automatically. no?

likewise, when i right click the underlined recipient/address in an email
message and choose Look up Contact, it can't take me to BCM contacts, it can
only look up regular outlook contacts (i have my personal contacts in the
contacts section of outlook, and use BCM contacts for all my business
activities)

I agree that it's a lot of effort, but that's the procedure you need to
follow if you want the results you originally asked for.
