I have a photo stored in Photobucket which I have linked to a forum answer,
if I delete the photo from PB, I assume the photo will not be able to be
accessed from the forum link?

Correct...if you delete the photo...
the link will no longer work.

Thanks for quick response! So I should transfer the photo to my picture file
and rename the forum link I think?

I guess I don't know what you are trying to accomplish.

To retain the picture link to my forum posting whilst deleting the
Photobucket entry, I should transfer the photo to a file in My Pictures and
rename the link in the forum post so it can still be accessed?

I'm still uncertain what you are trying to
accomplish.

If the image is posted at Photo Bucket and
you are accessing it with a link....when you
delete the file from Photo Bucket the link is
dead and you can no longer access it
because the image is gone.

And...if you copy the image from Photo Bucket
to your hard drive...you could view the file
on your computer screen and you could e-mail
the file to someone else.

But you cannot access the contents of your
My Pictures folder with a link from a discussion
forum.
