Am comfortable with Access but new to storing database on
web server to collect form results. In FrontPage 2002,
created a form and an Access database to collect
results. Published to our intranet's web server. Now,
on a network drive, have created a db (in Access 2000)
and wish to link to the table on the web server. Using
File/Get External Data/Link Tables, I browse for the
location of the db on the web server. The file path is
created as I drill down while browsing. When I find
the .mdb file on the web server and click it, get an
error message: Microsoft Access can't find the database
file 'http://<name of web
site>.intranet.<company>.com/fpdb/<database name>.mdb'
Make sure you entered the correct path and file name.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You cannot connect to a Jet database using http. (or ftp)
(You can connect to SQL Server over the Internet though.)

One idea would be to make a copy and download it at set periods.
