Link to another workbook error

I have two workbooks that are linked. When I open one, I am given the
following message "The workbook you opened contains automatic links to
information in another workbook. Do you want to update this workbook with
changes to the other workbook?" When I click "yes" it prompts me to open a
workbook that is no longer linked to this workbook. I have tried to find
where the link to this file exists and I cannot. How can I see what
workbooks are linked to a file? How can I break this relationship if it
should no longer exist?

Try doing on a search on the entire workbook for ".xls" (Ctrl+F, click
'options', and choose "Workbook" from the 'Within:' drop down box). This
will find all your references to external worksheets. Then, just delete each
of the occurances where the reference is to a sheet you don't want.

Dave,
When I do ctrl + F, I do not have options. I only have the line for "Find
What", dropdowns for Search (Row & Column) and Look In (Formula, Values &
Comments) and two checkboxes for Match Case and Find entire cells only. I
tried searching in Formulas but it didn't work.
