link to a field

Hi

I have designed a database to track all my projects. I have a field that is
called recorded document number. When I receive copy of the recorded document
I scan it and save it in a particular folder. I would like to have a
hyperlink between this image and the document number field so when I double
click on the field the image will open.
If possible I would like this to be automatic. When I type in the recorded
document number the field finds the matching text and connects to it.

Save the path to the file in a text field, then format it in your form
as a hyperlink. Can't be automatic AFAIK unless you scan from inside
Access, and Access can do something with the values...
