I have words in text boxes on a slide. I want to click on one box, have a
series of arrows pointing to other boxes. Either a click or a roll over. I
have 8 letters I need to link to the others on this slide. By clicking or
roll over, I want to be able to show linkage links to each. Afterward want
to then be able to advance to next slide.

Ideas? can do?

If you are using PPT 2002 or later, you can use triggers to cause some of
the effect you want. You would need set up the animations for the arrows,
then change those animations to be triggered on by the click of the
appropriate text box. Triggers only work on the click of an object, they
don't work on a mouse over or rollover.

Also, since triggered animations happen outside of the animation timeline,
so it would be a little tricky to make sure that the advance to next slide
doesn't happen until after all of the triggered animations.

For that part, you would want to put a button on the slide that is
hyperlinked to the Next Slide. This can be any autoshape, an action button,
or even a hypertext link.
