Access 2003: When linking a table from one Access database to another, is it
a MUST to have a literal drive letter reference?? I'm not seeing a way
around that. Each employee has their own forecasting database and I'm trying
to mimic the process for each database. However, for the linked tables it is
difficult, because they all have the source drive setup under a different
drive letter...ugh. I'm constantly having to switch back and forth when I
do maintenace on their database.
I know the employee can remap their drive to the letter I choose, but I
think this gets tricky, because they have their drive mappings sort of
hard-coded into their profile, so I'm not sure remapping the drive letter
will work 100%. thank you
