link sent emails to accounts using the Contact field in Options

When sending an email I would like to be able to enter a contact name in the
Contact field under Options so that I can link the email to a particular
account - useful if I sending an email that is relevant to the account but
does not include any contacts at the account as addressees - e.g. a query on
their behalf to a supplier, or a status report to a colleague
 
And you can do that, but it's a manual process unless you want to write your
own VBA code.
 
I think I am looking for the same thing. We send email internally that
pertain to certain accounts and/or opportunities. I would like to have a rule
(or VBA code - I am not familiar with VBA) that will let me choose certain
criteria (text) to link email to certain accounts or contacts based on if
that criteria is present in the subject line or body of the email; regardless
of who the email is sent to or received from.
Would this be possible with VBA? Is it beginner, intermediate or advance
level?
