Link Record - Sharepoint Services

Is it possible to link an account record to a document stored in Sharepoint
Services? If so, does this require WSS v2 or v3? Thank you.
 
BCM Accounts link to external files by storing the network path. If
Sharepoint is configured with a file share, you can link documents using
that share path.
