I had a Dell PC with Windows XP. I had a new machine built
for me and loaded the Dell Windows onto it but now when
ever I click on a link page the page comes up totally
blank with only the tool bar at the top of the page
showing. I just ordered Windows 98 and will install it as
soon as it arrives but still wonder why the version that I
already have doesn't work. Is it because it was made
especially for the Dell PC?

Yep.......When you get Win98, you'll need to repartition
and format your current harddrive to delete WinXP, for
the Dell CD you got was a WinXP reinstallation disk and
not an OEM or retail disk and can only be used on the
original PC.

Go to Start/Run and type in: regsvr32 urlmon.dll. Then go to
IE/Tools/Internet Options/Programs/Reset Web Settings.

The "Open in a New Window" Command May Not Work. Go to Start/Run and typ
each of these in

regsvr32 Shdocvw.dl
regsvr32 Shell32.dl
regsvr32 Oleaut32.dl
regsvr32 Actxprxy.dl
regsvr32 Mshtml.dl
regsvr32 Urlmon.dl
