Link or shortcut to item?

Hi, Does anyone know whether it is possible to create a shortcut to a
particular item, e.g. an appointment in a public folder?

Sorry, I'm lost. Where does CDO fit in?

Best bet may be to use a text link using the format at
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/links.htm

creating an email that will automatically run on our system each day which
will go to appointmant organizers who have bookings for the followoing day.
I want the email to include an attachment (link) to the actual organizer's
booking so that he/she can go DIRECTLY to the booking (appointment) and
cancel it if they wish to.
