I can create a link to table in an external Access database.
I would like to create a link to an ODBC database. I used to do that in
Access 2003. How do I do that in Access 2007?

How this works in 2007 has not really changed...

The 3rd tab on the ribbon is called

External Data

The above is our starting point (and the name external data I think is
appropriately named in this case).

Then in the import group, drop down (click) the "more" button...

The 1st option is odbc DATABASE

Select that, and you get a choice to "import" or "link" to sql server.

From that point on it really the same as before and you see the same dialogs
that you have in 2003....

Note that if you have some existing data inside your access application and
you want to upsize or move that table to SQL server, then you can do an
upsize or upload of ONE tabled from access and it will upload the data and
also create a link for you..

However in your case it sounds like the data is already on SQL server, and
you just simply want to link to it...
