I received a report last year, from a contact who reported the following:
"I had no button for Link. No dialog box opened. I did a full installation
of Office, installing all to PC."
Later on, he reported:
"It turns out that Norton Antivirus was blocking Office Plug-ins without
issuing an error message with what they were doing."
So, whether you are running NAV, or some other antivirus product, you might
want to try temporarily disabling the antivirus software to see if things
start working properly. If that is the case, then you just need to figure out
what configuration change is required for your antivirus software.
