Link no longer working

I can not longer link any tables in my MS Access 2003 version. It appears to
be a software problem. I downloaded the trial version of 2007 and it works.
I attempted to reinstall version 2003 with the CD supplied by Dell when
purchasing my Laptop, but the CD does not work either.

Sorry, but you're not giving any details, so it's not really possible for us
to make any suggestions.

How are you trying to link the tables? What happens when you try? If you're
getting any error messages, what are they?

Hi Douglas:
This happens whether it is a new blank database with no tables or
existing database with former linked tables. For a new blank database, I
click on File, Get External Data, Select Link Tables, select ODBC Databases()
and I get an error msg window that states Microsoft Office Access has
encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the
inconvenience. It has a checkbox to Repair my open database and restart. I
tried that and it still does not work. It provides option to send error
report (which I did). I tried to copy the report and paste here, but was
unable to.
Thanks for responding.

Afraid I don't have any other suggestions, as I've never heard of this
happening before.

I don't know what you mean when you say that "the CD to reinstall MS Office
2003 also doesn't work."

Thanks Douglas, what I mean about the CD is the following. I thought there
was some issue with MS Access 2003 version, so I thought I should try to
reinstall it. I took the MS Office Professional Edition 2003 CD supplied by
Dell when I bought the computer and tried to re-install MS Office (MS Access)
and the reinstall had an error as well. Unfortunately, I do not have
software warranty from Dell, so they do not supply another CD. I checked MS
website to see if I could get one, but couldn't. So... worse case is that I
will need to purchase MS Office 2007. I am currently using the trial that
works.
