i am trying to link to a table on an sql server. it works
perfectly except i get 2315 rows instead of the 16000 i
should be seeing.

i have tried everything to make this work.

any ideas?

basically, i am using access 2000 to connect to a db on a
SQL 7 server.

i can link to a table as well as import the table, but
either way i get a maximum of 2315 rows return, when in
enterprise manager i can see there are over 16000.

there isn't anything special with the situation, unless
access has some kind of limit for scenarios like this,
which i doubt.

i even tried various queries on the linked table, still
with the same results.

p.s. i am already getting spam from using a real address
here. cool.

Sorry about the spam!
I use nospam in my address, but I think they have figured that one out by
now.

1. Try using an Access Project .adp file to connect directly.
Does it show all rows?

2. Does the table have a PK?

3. A2000 has a limit of 10,000 records returned by default.
Look in Tools, Options, Edit/Find, Don't Display lists...
