I am getting different results on 2 PCs. I am trying to link to a
freestanding DBASE5 table, held on a local network.
On PC 'A' I am prompted for the index file and can subsequently see the
reference to it in design view.
But on PC 'B' I do not get the prompt and the indexes do not appear. I have
copied the table to the local hard drives the the same result.
Both machines use the same version (9) of Access2000.
A different, but perhaps related problem occurs on importing a DBASE5 table
that has an associated memo file. This table has .dbf, .idx & .fpt suffixes.
On PC 'A',I can import successfully, But on PC 'B' I get the following:
Failed to import table. External table is not in the expected format (3274).
I cannot see any difference in the Access settings between these two PCs.
Any help with these problems will be much appreciated.
