I'm having problems when I copy and paste an Excel object into Powerpoint.
I'll copy the information from Excel, paste it into Powerpoint, and there
are no visible lines (that's the way I want it). As soon as I hit the "Save"
button, lines appear within my Excel object. I cannot get rid of them!
Please help!
Thank you,

What version of Office. PPT will paste this into a PPT Table probably
by default, unless turned off. Echo will pop in and tell you where to
turn off the "Place into placeholder thingie". that's probably it.
Also, do you have gridlines turned off in Excel before copying? And is
image scaled to 100% by 100%?

Brian,
Thank you for your response.
I have Excel 2003. I did turn off the gridlines, but that didn't help.
I didn't find a solution, but I did find a way around the situation. It
seems the lines would only appear when I pasted the object as a link under
"paste special".
If I pasted it as a Picture, it worked fine--no lines.
The only problem is, if I need to update the source in Excel, it won't
update automatically in Powerpoint.

Thanks again.

Hm. If you turn off the gridlines in Excel, they shouldn't show in PPT when
you use Edit | Paste Special and choose Paste Link. How did you turn them
off?

Also, try saving the Excel file before you copy/paste the info into PPT.
