lines coming out as solid

I could not find a solution in the Printer Solutions
Center because they all have to do with XP products... but
here is the problem. When printing a PowerPoint 97
document that contains a patterned-line fill, the lines
may print as solid lines instead of patterned lines.

Are you printing in black and white?

I generally have better luck printing pattern fills if I make the
foreground dark and the background light. If I leave the foreground
light and the background dark, I often get odd results.

Worth a shot, anyway.
