Before ACCESS 97 and now ACCESS 2003 when creating a report you were able to
create joyrnal type report, that is, lines automatically generated between
rows and columns.

How do you do that now without having to draw a vertical line in the Detail
and other levels. The line between rows I can handle.

There are (and always have been) three ways to put lines
between rows and columns.

If the control spacining is amenable, just use the text
boxes Border for the lines.

If the text box spacing makes that inappropriate and if the
sections where you want the lines can not grow or shrink,
just place a line control between the column's text boxes.

If the sections can grow or shrink, you have to use the Line
method in each section's Print event procedure.
