I was wondering, if I have a linear formula (y=mx + b) can I graph th
line somehow or do I need to type out the x's and y's in order to grap
the points.

Any help will be appreciated.

Enter the slope in cell F1 and the intercept in G1. Put the low and high
X values into cells F3 and F4. in G3 enter this formula:

=G$1+F$1*F3

Copy the cell and paste it on cell G4. Copy F3:G4, select the chart, and
choose Paste Special from the Edit menu. Choose the New Series option
with Categories in First Column. Format the line to suit.

To draw a straight line, you need only 2 points. So, it wouldn't be
like you'd have to do a lot of data entry.

Suppose m is in A1 and b is in B1.

Type in two x values in A2 and A3. In B2 enter =$A$1*A2+$B$1 Copy B2
to B3. Plot A2:B3 as a XY Scatter chart.

Or, download the Excel | Add-Ins | 'Chart Manager' add-in from my
website. Though, for a straight line, it might be more work than the
previous paragraph.
