line numbers

I must have line numbers in my transcript. Everything
has always printed fine but all of a suddent the line
numbers print in what looks like Arabic numerals.
Everything else in the document is fine.

I have reinstalled my printer LaserJet 2200D... no go.
I hesitate to reinstall XP for fear of losing important
documents.

What can I do to resolve this problem... quickly. Court
resumes Monday, work must be printed.

This is more likely a problem with your document editing software (Word,
WordPerfect, ...) rather than XP. Suggest you look there. If the line
numbers are automatically generated look where that feature is setup.

If your column-spacing is to narrow, the numbers in spreadsheets will turn
to XXXXX's. Just widen the column.
