I am using Word 2002 in XP, while typing a document, when pressing the 'next
line' tablet key (the one below the Backspace key) it spaces 2 lines instead
of one. I have tried Font, Paragraph, Line, Autoformat but nothing changes
this setting. To go to the next line I have to keep pressing the space key
until it goes down to the next single line. It is on 'single spacing'. It has
only just started doing it. How can I go back to one line? Thank you.

I have tried that button so that it says one line, but I still get two with
that particular key.

Don't know the key you refer to since my tab key is on the left side. Unique
keyboard?

I am not referring to the Tab key which is on the left, I am referring to the
'next line' key which is on the right. Tab means tabulate not tablet.

Never heard of a next line key on any keyboard. Typewriter or other. Why
don't you use the tab key?

Try posting to a Word 2002 newsgroup. There you will have access to more
techs who troubleshoot Word issues.

A good idea, Xandros, although I did not see this particular group when I
first entered the community. I will take another look. Thanks.
