Sorry.. this is an IE 6 forum "Discussions in Internet Explorer 6 General"
isnt it?
i just figured thats what folks would assume i was on about.. but of
course
had i realised there was more required i would have included it.
True, but, I am sure you understand there are different variations of IE6
used with various versions of Windows;... IE6, IE6SP1 and IE6SP2, and
problems and causes can vary with each. Thus, it is always best to state
which version of IE6 and version of Windows you are using up front when
posting to the newsgroups. It will eliminate any confusion and help find a
solution for your problem in a more timely manner
Windows XP Home on SP2 currently up to date on auto update.
IE Version 6.0.2900.2180.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519
Cypher Strength 128 Bit
Update Versions SP2
The error message was as described.. an exclamation box window.. a square
message box with a yellow triangle containing an exclamation mark - !
The message in the box says... "Out of memory at line 90"
There are no options in the box.. just an x to close it.
closing it.. does nothing.. and IE works fine..
Im not really bothered by it.. i figured someone would have seen it happen
already.. im just curious really.. its not affecting my use of IE i can
see..
is why i thought it might be a security config ive set.. stopping IE from
running something.. since its not an external memory problem.. even my DDR
is
only using 30 odd percent.
While it may not seem troublesome, some memory errors can cause damage to
your system, depending on when and where they happen. Although, it is often
difficult to nail down the cause. What activity are you doing at the time
you get these errors/ On opening IE? Clicking a link? Saving, printing,
downloading? Please give a bit more detail on this for us here. The more
you help us, the more we can help you.
You might also ty the following and see if it helps:

and...
Update your video card driver. Some updates and can affect the video drives
or require them to be updated.
also...
Try this: Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions.
If this resolves the problem, then you likely have som eform of scumware on
your system that needs to be removed.
Dealing with Unwanted Spyware and Parasites:

If the above did not resolve the problem then check the following:
Reset your IE to the default settings.
If it is something that just started with in a few days, try doing a System
Restore to a date prior to the time the problem began and see if that helps.
Hope this helps.
