Limits to burning single songs?

On MSN Music, I know you can burn 7 CDs of a playlist,
but are there limits to the number of times you can burn
a single song? On iTunes you can burn a single song that
you've purchased on the iTunes Music Store an unlimited
number of times by moving it to a different playlist.

As far as I know, you could get around any such restrictions by ripping
the songs back to your hard drive as wav files from the audio CDs you've
burned! It's all the DRM restrictions and limitations crap that will kill
the fledgling paid-download industry. The recording industry still
doesn't get it.
