Hello, does anybody know where I can find the information regarding page
limit and footer.xml/header.xml?

First, I would like to know how many page will be the limit for Word 2007.
Also, when I create doc file, multiple footer and header.xml are created
automatically. Does anybody know there is limit of number of header/footer or
infinite?

Word doesn't have a limit for the number of pages, just for the file size. See
this article

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/211489/en-us

Note that this information is for Word 2003, even though the date of the article
is January 2007. I wouldn't expect Word 2007's limitations to be *less* than
what's given here. Since Word hasn't been re-written at the basic level, I
suspect that a limitation does still exist, however - the problem being whether
Word can actually open and work with a larger document.

Word allows three different types of header and footer: primary, different first
page and even pages (odd pages are covered by the primary). If the document
contains more than one section, then it's possible to have multiple different
first page and primary headers and footers - one for each section. But headers
and footers can also be linked across contiguous sections. There is no official
limit to the number of sections (and therefore to the number of headers/footers)
allowed, beyond the maximum document file size.

Thank you for your information. This is very helpful.
As you said, I also suspect the limitation exist, since many falks reported
document corruption with large size of documentation.
Do you have any idea arrpximate how many pages Word can handle without any
corruption? I know this is all depends on how doucmentation is layouted and
number of illustratios and other factors though.
If you have any idea about it, let me know.

There is really no good guage, I'm afraid. Another important factor is the
template from which a document has been created - it that's "clean" then the
document will be more stable. With the new XML file format, Word 2007 is
supposed to be much more stable than earlier versions, but it is of course a
bit soon for "real world data" to have accumulated.
