I need to create and environment with multiple systems within our network.
We are just setting up Win 2003 and ADS. Some of the systems have shared
folders on them.

Is there a way to limit the visbility of systems to only the systems a user
has permissions to?

Thanks in Advance

Nothing that is native to Win 2k will allow you to do this. I am not aware
of any third party apps to do this either.

Hello Myles,
There is no means of hiding shares from you users short of appending each
share with a "$" Permission only help in managing how the user manipulates
the files within the shares.

You can do that by publishing shares in AD and giving permissions to only
those users/groups that need access. You can not do that if you are using
netbios network browsing however - shares will appear to all users that can
use the browse service regardless of their permissions. -- Steve
