Hi everyone,

is there a way of limiting the storage space on a specific folder on a 2000
server? We are already running quotas for users but for example we need the
sales folder never to exceed 5GB.

thank you in advance for all the help,

KG

As quotas will relate to the entire partition, I would
probably suggest having the sales folder on a separate
5GB partition (mount it to the same location in place of
the sales folder). This might mean either installing a
new disk or juggling your data around to create it on the
existing disk... You may even be able to configure
another disk somewhere else on the network if you are
using DFS.

There will probably be some other (better? less time or
cost consuming) way around it, but I cant think of it at
this moment in time... Someone else in this forum might
be able to think of another way. It will be interesting
to see what comes back! :o)
