Limited Users - controlling program access

I assume there is a way to control which programs a limited user can access.
For example, I just created a limited user account but I don't want that
limited user to have access to certain programs such as Cleanup 123 and
QuickBooks (the computer is running on Windows XP Home Edition).

Can I do that? If so, how?

Excellent. Thanks. I was just in the middle of trying to figure out how to
install new software and make some work for all users and others work just
for the administrator accounts. And your link answers that question in
plain English that I can understand. :-)

Someone else also posted this link in a different group:

P.S. After posting, I read the guidelines for posting and realized I did a
no-no by posting the same question in more than one group. Now I know not
to do that.

I would recommend you install and use The Shared Access tool by Microsoft

You have the link. ;-)

I did use the link and I downloaded the program. But then I started reading
the FAQ's and it looked like there are a number of different things to learn
and know about how it works. I have a hunch that it will take me a while to
figure out use and understand exactly what each feature does. So I decided
to just use the more direct change-the-permissions approach for now and I
can try the toolkit on another day.
