Limitations of outlook?

Can anybody tell me whether outlook can be configured for any other mail
server apart from yahoo and hotmail. If So, how? and also what is the use of
using it?

Gmail - and any ISP that offers POP access.....

Outlook can connect to and use any mail service that offers POP, IMAP, or
Exchange accounts.
