I am sending this on behalf of another user who can't understand this
'phenomenon'.
This is a 1 year old Dell computer 37GB hard drive
Windows XP Home edition
Using HP Precision Scan.

User is unable to scan more than 4 pictures at a time without writing them
off to a CD and deleting the files from the hard drive.
Now I'll grant you that the resolution is high but the file sizes do NOT
dictate any significant loss of disk space.
The message is:
Cannot scan. (and then something like) No more disk space.

After removing the files from the computer scanning may continue but it
makes no sense that it is saying there is not enough disk space to scan more
and more pictures.

Please advise if anyone knows or has some clue as to why this is happening.

Been there...
Done that...

I was thinking that for whatever reason there might be a C:\ root directory
limitation as there was in Win95 but this is Win XP.
Even some files that didn't need to be have been deleted.
It just really seems odd.
Is there a scanning program that is native to XP that could be used instead
of the one that came from HP with the scanner?
