It appears to be a limitation of the mail feature then as there is a loss of
privacy if switching between different user accounts is not possible.
Why would microsoft consider doing such a thing , degrade this feature
which was availabel in oe.

The "Identity" feature was always a kludge. It was never anywhere near
industry acceptable security standards. The individual logons to computers
has been one important cornerstone of computer security for ages. MS has
simply gone back to a technique more in line with acceptable security,
separate logons for Windows as well as email.

We all know that MS has been under unrelenting "heat" about security in
general. Well, they listened! Aren't you glad? LOL!

How's that go... be careful what you ask for, you might....... hehehehe...!

The apparent privacy was only just that. You could and can take anyone's
private Identities's folder (dbx file) and import into another person's
Identity and thereby read all their messages. To think you had privacy was
just a level 1 type of security that was really misleading.

And you can get my DBXpress program and run it on someone's formatted hard
drive and the read all their messages. So the idea that there is some
privacy afforded by the Identities feature is wrongly taken in faith.
