I'm running XP Home w/SP1

Two IDE Hard Drives. 1 x 120GB, 1 x 200GB. I also run an external USB2.0 HDD
at 80GB inside a Belkin Enclosure. I've just purchased a new Maxtor Maxline
II 250GB drive which I also intend to use in an enclosure.

When I connect the drive up, It shows in Device Manager, it doesn't show in
My computer. In Partition Magic 8.0 the drive is there, but only listed at
131GB capacity. I assumed I went through all the Big Drive enable stuff when
I installed the 200GB drive inside my machine months ago, this drive is
showing as 200GB. So is there a reason why my new drive is not showing it's
full capacitiy?

regards

The firmware inside the enclosure should support BigATA. If it doesn't say
explicit support for disks >137GB, it won't support your big disk.

Belkin site says "Supports up to a maximum drive size up to 250GB"

I just found out it won't support ATA133 :/

The MS IDE 137GB limit does not apply to USB and Firewire drives, only drives
on primary/secondary IDE. Your enclosure has the limit.
