I wanted to limit the amount of posts that are saved, so I created a rule
for news as follows:

Box 1: Where the message was sent more than days ago
Box 2: Delete it
Box 3: Chose 5 days
Named the rule and clicked OK.
Clicked Apply Now>Browse>Chose "msnews.microsoft.com.">OK>Apply Now>OK.

What happens is, I have 5 MS NG's I keep subscribed to. The rule keeps
changing to only apply to the first one on the list. I tried to create a
rule for each NG separately, but they too would change to the first NG on
the list. When I made the original rule, the box that said Apply To All
Subfolders was checked, but grayed out.

Appreciate any help on this. Or if there is another way to limit the amount
of posts saved, that will do too. I have Get 50 Headers At A Time checked,
if this means anything.

Thanks.

This is probably a "bug" in Outlook Express. Checked
mine and to Apply Now to all newsgroups I need to
activate it manually and change the Browse (find main
directory) each time. Seems this should have been
brought to Microsoft attention before this. Also checked
OE Help and it only explaims how to create rules and
apply now.

Hit the newsgroup button on the toolbar, scroll the list to Outlook Express
and try this question on one of those boards.
