limit number of times the movie will play?

Do you mean a saved movie that you make, like limit it to being played 10
times, kind of like the Digital Rights Management ones that play for 30
days?

Yes, sort of. Or allow the file to be played only three times, then a
message stating that you have exceeded the maximum number of viewing times.
Sort of to keep people returning to a site to download again and again. I
have seen this on mpeg files. Probably too advanced for a program that is
free.

That would be in software beyond Movie Maker, maybe in the server setup. I
assume you just want to avoid excess charges for bandwidth usage.

Your options might depend on your reason(s) for wanting to limit it. Tell
Google what you want to do and you might get some good places to check.

Thanks, and great source of info from your website. Just haven't found the
time to sort through it all yet.

Video files like MPEG videos don't contain anything that would control how
someone views it. It would break the standard format.

It was either a server side stream or a DRManaged file.
