Hi,
I have Win XP pro, and I would like make my C-drive inaccessible to
the Guest account.
Anybody who knows how to do this?
Disable the Guest account. It's a security hole anyway and is not meant
to be used on a regular basis. The "Guest" account in a true multi-user
operating system (NT, XP, Linux, Unix) does not mean you are being
hospitable. Of course, if you make the entire drive inaccessible to an
account, how will the person do any work? Do you really mean you want
to limit access to certain files/folders on the C: drive? In that case:
1. Create a user *group*. Call it "Marketing" or whatever.
2. Create shares and only allow Marketing (or whatever) to have access
to those shares.
3. Create new user accounts (if necessary) for the people who will be in
the new group and make them members of that group.
3. Don't forget to include yourself and the Admin in the new user group!
